Peak Daily Usage

Hello Everybody,

I come back to you again for another amazing question ! We are doing some reporting for a customer and we need to show at what time during the day there is the most sessions connected on the wireless network. Basically We need to know for each day of every month at what time was the higher peak of Clients Sessions (Peak Daily Usage) connected on the wireless network.

We are trying to find which options we have to select on the reports to be able to generate the report that will give us theses informations.

Unfortunately we didn't find the solution if someone have any idea about which options do we have to select this will be very helpful.

Thank you for your help

Best Regards,

Re: Peak Daily Usage

Airwave is the best solution.  The controller retains little, if any historical information.

EDIT:  If you already have Airwave, you should be able to expand the time horizon out a month and see where the max peak clients are.

Re: Peak Daily Usage

Hello Colin,

Thank you for your answer, we are currently using the Airwave application to generate this report but when we look at the options we don't see any option that is able to show us the Peak Usage by day and by hours.

We would like to know when during the day there is the most sessions connected on the wireless network. Unfortunately we don't find theses options on airwaive.

The only things that we are able to see via the graph if it's what you are talking about is the number of client by day or by hours on the graph but we are not able to see the number of Sessions.

If you are able to give us more informations about how to get this Peak Usage for the  Sessions by hours during a day we will really appreciate that.

Thank you.

Best Regards,

Re: Peak Daily Usage

Spyders,  Do not use the report.  Just choose your time range and hover the pointer over what looks like the largest amount of clients, and a tooltip will tell you the time and date and the amount.

Re: Peak Daily Usage

Hello Colin,

Thank you again for your informations but this is exactly what I said before the graph show only the number of clients not the "Sessions". Like I requested previously we would like to know when during the day there is the most "Sessions" on the wireless network not the clients .

As you can see below :

Re: Peak Daily Usage

Spyders,

There are other people who are looking at this thread and probably provide you good answers. With that being said, how is "sessions" different from clients.?

Re: Peak Daily Usage

The only other thing I can think of is TCP or UDP sessions, which is not likely tracked simply because it would probably require a lot of horsepower to track an indivudual's user sessions and quantify...
