I have two controllers in two sites seperated by a layer 3 boundry. The controllers are both active/active so users are connected to both controllers. My question is which way to setup the VLANs in case of a controller failure and the APs have to flip over to the other controller.

For example if we have VLAN 750 configured on both controllers and one controller fails and all the users fail over to the existing controller we now have double the users show up in VLAN 750.

Or do we put one set of users on VLAN 750 on one controller and VLAN751 on the other controller and configure both VLAN750 and VLAN 751 on both controllers?
