RAP5s with ver 5 code do not downgrade to code ver 3.

    We have a 3200 controller that is on the ver 3 code and handles all the termination of our RAPs in the DMZ.  New shipment of RAPs that are preloaded with ver 5 code are not downgrading.  They can get to the controller, but never downgrade.  Has anyone experienced this and fixed the issue without having to upgrade the controller?

     

    We will eventually upgrade the controller, but right now we need to get some RAPs out.

    Just a thought, try just plugging one into the network; and let it ADP as a CAP. See if it takes the 3.x code, then reset it and set it up as a RAP. Not sure this will work, but it's probably worth a try.
