SSID Permited Characters

Hello,

I need to create some new SSIDs on our Aruba7210 based controller with ArubaOS version 6.4.37 and would like the new SSID names to be as descriptive as is possible.

My question then is what characters are permitted in an SSID name. On top of the alphanumeric characters I was thinking of using space, underscore, and or hyphen in the new SSID names.

Thanks in anticipation.

Regards PM.

Re: SSID Permited Characters

[ Edited ]

Hi,

They are all supported in an SSID name. I would recommend always steer clear of spaces though..

EDIT: I'll be specific: space, hyphen and underscore are all supported but I'd recommend steering clear of spaces.

Cheers
James
