comparing configuration

    why is it that I have 2 7010 controllers running the exact same 6.4 code and the exact configuration and when I do a "show run" the lines dont match up?

     

    Its making a double check take 3x's as long because I actually have to go line by line instead of skimming. 

     

    Is there a fix for that?

     

    show run and show config do the exact same thing.

    Things like hashes and vlan configurations can cause this.

    Most diff utilities will account for this and line up subsequent lines.
