I have a strange issue with a customer's licensing database.
They have a 3600 with 43 aps. Most aps have been up since 2012 but they bought some additional last year.
Last month he called with an issue where 4 of the aps had gone down and were bouncing. I logged in and found they were listed as unlicensed. To get them running I installed some eval licenses and started investigating the problem. I found 4 that hadn't been applied so we applied them and I thought we were done.
today the eval licenses expired and 10 aps went down with the same IL flag.
the strange thing is when I add up all the licenses listed on the controller I come up with:
PEF = 43
RFP = 5
AP = 7
Why would all these APs continue to work if this was the license count in the controller?
