is it recomended to use /23 or less for clients

    I have 5000 clients and building of 7 floors, vendor recomended using a pool of /23 vlans to allow users roaming between the floors without dropingvthe connection.

    Yes you can go even bigger as long broadcast and multicast optimizations are enabled. Take a look at the single VLAN VRD.

    We use /20 and /21 networks at our locations (with broadcast and multicast optimizations enabled on the controllers), and we have no problems with it.
