Making private 5G (almost) as easy as Wi-Fi

By Greg_W posted Jun 12, 2024 12:59 PM

You may have seen the announcement earlier this month regarding the launch of HPE Aruba Networking Enterprise Private 5G. What does that mean for Airheads?

Private 5G augments Wi-Fi with a flexible type of connectivity to address higher speed mobility, wider area coverage, traffic segmentation, and deterministic access. Last year, we acquired Athonet, a leader in mobile core software with more than 500 customers over 15 years, to bring this technology to our enterprise customers. With the recent launch of HPE Aruba Networking Enterprise Private 5G, we are offering a turnkey cellular network that includes everything from SIM cards to small cell radios. While the management will initially be separate, we are integrating the management into HPE Aruba Networking Central for unified policies and AI capabilities across wired, Wi-Fi, private 5G, and SD-WAN.

There’s obviously a lot more to this, so to learn more:

The advancement in technology is making private 5G networks almost as accessible as Wi-Fi, revolutionizing connectivity for businesses. This innovation promises robust, high-speed wireless connections within controlled environments, offering reliability and low latency akin to traditional networks. With simplified deployment and management frameworks, organizations can now harness the power of private 5G networks to enhance operational efficiency and support emerging IoT applications effectively.
