MultiZone with ArubaOS 8: 2 networks for the price of 1

With all the recent security breaches in the hotel industry we need to ensure guest data is secure.  And while we all agree that security is necessary, we also know that it can be complex to implement. How do you know if you have the right solution or the right people managing your network to feel confident your hotel or brand won’t be in the latest headlines for another security breach?  With all the options out there, your hotel’s reputation cannot be compromised.  And how do you do this while still controlling costs?

Typically, back of house (operations, engineering, housekeeping, F&B) and guest networks are completely separate; different hardware, different management, different SSIDs, different infrastructure.  Wouldn’t it be great if you could create a simple, secure, and robust Wi-Fi network without paying for two independent infrastructures?  Now you can!

You no longer need two different physical networks to have two different physical networks!  You can now manage your guest and back of house Wi-Fi networks on the same APs under separate management and traffic zones!  Reduce your hardware costs, deployment costs, infrastructure costs, and management costs while keeping your guests and staff happy and secure.

Aruba MultiZone, introduced with ArubaOS 8 on Mobility Master, allows you to have multiple controller domains, SSIDs, and traffic zones with an “Air Wall” between them.

What is a Zone?  What is a MultiZone AP?

This structure allows for management and data traffic to be separated with an “Air Wall” between zones.  Traffic can be tunneled from the client to two completely separate controllers over the same AP. This keeps guest and back of house traffic separate, ensuring your network stays secure while reducing your infrastructure costs.

Check out all the new features in ArubaOS 8 today to learn more about how we can keep your costs under control while enabling you to have the most secure wired and wireless network possible.
