Hi Simon168,
Yes, you can either use a Wildcard Certificate or a named Certificate for the Instant Cluster Guest Portal.
You will want to configure the Clearpass Guest Portal with the name of the certificate.
- For WebLogin Pages, the field is labeled *Address
- For Self-Registration Pages, the field is labeled *IP Address
- Both page types have a label "
Enter the IP address or hostname of the vendor's product here." for these fields.
If using a named Certificate put the full FQDN / CN name in this field.
If using a Wildcard Certificate, use the name - captiveportal-login.domain.name (domain.name being your own Domain name of course.).

Subject: Certificate for Instant AP for Guest Portal on Aruba Central
Hi
I like to ask about installing the public certificate for Instant AP that will have guest captive portal hosted in Aruba Central. I understand if the GCP is hosted in ClearPass, I can use either public wildcard or a public certificate with specific CN and ensure the correct configuration on ClearPass Guest. With Aruba Central, can I have a public certificate with specific CN installed into the Instant cluster so that when Aruba Central guest redirects the user back, it does not display unsecure page?
Thanks.
