    Hi All i am facing some issue with my switch configuration its an Aruba JL479A 8320 switch and i have configured syslog on it but its not working please someone send me the correct configuration commands.

    I used these commands for syslog configuration:
    logging 172.27.48.116 severity debug

    perhaps you have to configure "ip source-interface" for syslog and the correct VRF.

    switch(config)# ip source-interface syslog 172.27.48.116  vrf <vrf-name>

    I have all my vlans under default VRF

    so this command will work for it .

    so if you only have one VRF by multiple VLANs and if the switch has IP address in all these VLANs then for predictability you can use
    ip source-interface all interface vlan20 (as an example)

    Hi Sanjib!

    Can you reach 172.27.48.116 from the 8320? Did you try to ping it from the switch interface?
    What s/w version 8320 is running?

    Yes it is reachable to the syslog server.


    And 8320 is running with S/w TL.10.03.0071.
