Hi Robert! very interesting deployment. Out of curiosity, could you explain how the routing was planned? I mean...what was the purpose of having Bulilding 1 interconnected to Building 2 by linking the two VSX stacks considering you have on each building an Aruba 5400R zl2 taking care of routing (I expected - but I'm for sure wrong in expecting that - that the interconnection between buildings involved the Aruba 5400R zl2 and not the VSX stacks)? I'm really curious to hear about how you planned the VLANs routing and all necessary Transport VLANs between VSX and Aruba 5400R zl2 (on each building) and between buildings...Great job anyway!

    Great work !
Don't hesitate to share anonymized configuration if this is possible so that the community can have one more example.

    Hi Robert,

That's a nice setup! I'm also curious about the 5406Rs. I see that you split distribution and core but on both buildings, is there a special reason for that approach?

Having a single 5406R doing the routing on each building looks like a single point of failure, or are they stacked on VSF? I noticed both B1-CORE and B2-CORE have the same IP address, that's why I thought they may be running VSF.

Have you considered using the 8320s to be distribution and core? That way you would benefit of VSX hitless upgrades and repurpose the 5406R.

    Anywho, good stuff!

    Cheers,

    Aarón

I would love to see the config if you wouldn't mind sharing.  About to set up a very similar setup.  Reference material is always helpful!

    Thanks,

    Phillip
