2530-8G STP problem with Smartlink

    Hi

    Testing Smartlink in our lab and have a 2530-8G for that. Have disabled STP and rebooted the switch.

    #show spanning-tree
    ...
    STP Enabled   : No

    When trying to add a port (any of them) as a master or slave to a smart-link group I get an error message "Port cannot be added to Smart link group when STP is configured"​

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Hello, 
    Do you have any port-level STP features on the ports you want to add to the smartlink group? Like BPDU filter, BPDU guard, Root guart etc.
    Did you try to remove this settings or set them to the default?

    Sure, didn't think of that. There was some port specific STP parameters I removed.
