I am relatively new to AOS-CX and I am encountering a problem when console'd into the switch with line wrapping.  I have not found a command to make any adjustments to the terminal length which i believe is default 80 characters.  See picture of what I am referring to.

As you can see with the sample text, it begins to wrap at 80 characters.
I've looked through the CLI Guide (10.08 CLI guide) and have not found any command to modify this default behavior.

    Any suggestions?

FYI...I am using both SecureCRT and Putty.
    Thank you.

with AOS-S switches, you can use "term length XXX" command
I am sure there is something on these lines in CX as well.

Thank you for the input.  Unfortunately, that command does not work in AOS-CX (10.08 is what I'm running).
Also, I did not find that command or a similar one in the 10.08 CLI guide.

I know you can use "page xxx" for number of lines, but for width the ssh application should  should auto adjust.
I use MobaXterm and mtputty and both auto adjust the width .

I have seen similar, but just with the serial (USB) console. When using SSH, this doesn't seem to be an issue.

Can you open a TAC case to get this verified?

NICE!  I had this same issue with the console... SSH does NOT have this line wrap issue.  Using putty for now, can't use the laptop with Secure CRT on it, so can't confirm on that.

I can confirm that with console connections with SecureCRT it is limited to the 80 characters. No problems with console length when connecting via SSH. Kind of annoying, I just paste in enough config to get SSH up and running and go from there though.

The issue with line wrapping is just specific to a serial connection.  SSH'ing into a switch does not present this issue.  It is specific to serial connections only.

I will open a case with TAC so this can be properly addressed. I'll post any updates here for those who are interested.

Got an update from TAC for those interested.

"...the command for modifying terminal length is yet not available for Aruba CX switches but it is supposed to be in the roadmap for future releases."

Hopefully we will see this added in AOS-CX 10.09 or in the near future.

FYI for those interested, AOS-CX 10.09 was released a few days ago.

I reviewed the Command Line Interface Guide and unfortunately nothing in the 10.09 release addressed this issue.
Hopefully we will see it addressed in a future AOS-CX release.

Coming back to answer this thread.

Version 10.10.1030 has the "page" command
    switch1#page ?
<2-1000>  Height of the page (If not specified, current terminal height is
                set)

    <cr>

Hope this helps someone in the future :-)
