    Hi, 

    I have an issue with My Aruba 6400 running on ArubaOS-CX FL.10.05.0021 firmware. I cannot ping a certain VLAN even from the core switch itself. Only that particular VLAN, any idea how this happens? Here is the configuration:

    vlan 30
    name Wired3F

    interface vlan 30
    ip address 192.168.203.1/24

    It's just a basic configuration, and the other VLANs (that are working - can ping) also configure in the same way. Delete and add the IP address again also doesn't help.

    The ArubaOS-CX 10.05.0021 is quite old and, technically speaking, from the standpoint of the Software Release it belongs (ArubaOS-CX 10.05), it is also now unsupported.

    I suggest you to plan to upgradeof your Aruba CX 6400 to latest software build of ArubaOS-CX 10.07 (SSR...to then move to another SSR 10.09 and then eventually jump to latest 10.10 which is a LSR) or to upgrade to latest software build of ArubaOS-CX 10.06 (LSR), that way you can jump directly to 10.10 (another LSR) without moving first into an interim Software Release.

    Currently only AOS-CX 10.06 (LSR), 10.08 (SSR), 10.09 (SSR) and 10.10 (LSR) Software Releases are actively supported.

    It's totally possible that what you're observing was a bug, now fixed in current Software Releases (on their latest builds).

    That VLAN has been down for a few days already. And just yesterday evening, the interface is "up" suddenly without doing any changes, don't know why maybe just bug like you said. By the way, thank you for your suggestion.

    Another thing that you may try is to delete the VLAN and the respective SVI and re-create them again (vlan 30 and int vlan 30). Depends on how the SVI was created, I already saw some situation, where the config got corrupted and arp learning was failing. 

    Whether you solve the issue with the above advice or not, a SW update will be required as suggested by parnassus.

    Yes already try all of that before this but still didn't works. But today, don't know why it suddenly worked. Thank you for your reply!
