    Hi all,

I've tried to upgrade the firmware of Aruba 2930M (stack of 2)  using both USB and TFTP but unfortunately no luck with that.

Current version : WC.16.10.0002 and I want to upgrade it to WC.16.10.00012

If I connect several USBs (FAT 32 formatted) to the switch it gives red alarm in the display , and when I type : dir
    Error Accessing USB Device.

For TFTP,  if I type copy tftp flash ip-address-of-tftp-server WC_16_08_00012.swi primary  (I can ping the server from the switch and vice versa)
it prompts : The primary image will be deleted .
    Continue (y/n)?

I've selected Y and it returned with this message :
    000M Transport error

    Could someone help please.

    Thanks

Right! I used a small size USB (less than 1G) and the switch can read the USB now. However, when I try to copy the firmware file, it starts transferring but at the end it gives this message :
000M Firmware image does not contain a signature.
I downloaded that image from My Network Portal.
    WC.16.10.0012

It may be good to reach out to Aruba TAC Support to find out what is going on here. You can retry downloading from the Aruba Support Portal (and please let me know if the file is different there). If you have your switch reachable over the network, you can upload the firmware through the WebUI as well, which I found more convenient and more reliable than tftp.

Are you logged on with the same privileges (manager) on both switches?

And there should be an option in the UI to sign in as manager.

Without manager privileges, you won't see the upgrade options.

    Thanks!

That's exactly what I did - Used GUI to upgrade the firmware
