    Hello Team,

Hope, RAM upgrade of my CPPM server C2000 V for 6.9.0 is possible without recreating a new VM..

I was going through some article, where for upgrade CPPM server they are recommending to re-image the new VM itself.

We have below specification, and as per ClearPass recommendation we need atleast 16GB RAM for this..

    show system-resources
WARNING - This command execution takes few minutes to measure disk performance I OPS...
WARNING - System has failed minimum required resource checks for C2000V.
    Current system configuration:
    -----------------------------
    Number of CPUs = 8
    Total Memory = 8.00 GB
Total Disk Size = 1024.00 GB
    -----------------------------
    Required system configuration:
    -----------------------------
    Number of CPUs = 8
    Total Memory = 8 GB
Total Disk Size = 1000 GB
    -----------------------------
Input/Output Operations Per Second (IOPS) :
    -----------------------------
Random Disk Read calculated at boot time = 760
Random Disk Write calculated at boot time = 262
Current Random Disk Read = 1142
Current Random Disk Write = 393

Just want to know the procedure from your side for this..

also hope there is no need to re-image the server as we are only increasing RAM not hardisk or any other things

I will first upgrade publisher then subscriber ..
Also , would like to stop the RADIUS service on the server before I upgrade it so that the network devices will mark the server as out of service.

Let me know if any other thing need to be follow for me..

    Looking forward for your reply..

You should plan for brief service outage, simply schedule a time that you can power off the VM, change the DRAM setting as necessary and power back on, you should be able to accomplish the complete cycle in 15-20 minutes.

Depending on how you have our CPPM configured {perhaps VIP} and how you have configured RADIUS on your NAD's {perhaps primary/secondary} you should be able to continue authN users/devices across your network whilst powering off the VM's and bringing them back online.

    wouldn't this require swap reconfiguration?

Nope, CPPM will gracefully handle the change in DRAM based upon the memory allocated.
