    Good afternoon Airheads.

This is my first post so please be gentle.  We have had clearpass for a couple of years but it has been one of those things that we implemented and we have just let it do it's thing.  There are many projects to get caught up on, but I wanted to start with something simple.  We are decommissioning some old DNS servers and need to update the DNS settings of our 2 servers.  Does this process require a reboot of the 2 clearpass servers (ours are configured in a cluster in a primary/secondary configuration)?

Thank you in advance for your future wisdom.

    Bob,

Not a reboot per-say but when you save the DNS entries it will restart ALL services, this can be a good 5+ minute process so plan accordingly. Said another way, everything will stop working for a short period of time whilst the services are restarting.
