    Hi Airheads,

I have some old deployment with Aruba3600 ( AOS 6.4.X) That i connected a wired server that should get all mDNS from chromecast dongles from all over the site.

all Air Group settings are enabled

    No bc/mc filtering enabled.

All wireless clients are allow all (any to any permit)

Wireless users able to cast to chromecast dongles

But this wired server doesn't see any mDNS from the chromecast dongles. (I tried to use IGMP proxy to the specific port that this server connected to , but without any success )

The server still doesnt see any mDNS from the wireless dongles .

Anyone can give me tips / or assist me to understand the issue? what do i missing here?

(The port it Trusted - And i encountered the following note:

Starting from ArubaOS 6.4.3.0, AirGroup doesnot support trusted wired users.) - Should i make the server port untrusted with ACL?

    yea, It's simple

    Users & DONGELS - VLAN Z

    AP's - VLAN Z

This wired server - VLAN Z

VLAN Z is on the controller, yea. (the wired server is on trusted port...i think this is the issue , Controller , AirGroup doesn't seems to see him , and share with him the mDNS records because of that )

Does your controller have an IP address on VLAN Z?

Did you take a packet capture to see if the traffic is making it to the server or vice versa ?

    Thank you

Yes i did wireshark on the specific VLAN , didn't notice and mDNS traffic , even due that in the AirGroup Tab in controller dashboard i do see mDNS traffic....

How long did the capture run for? The AirGroup server should be sending out multicast announcements to itself as well. Not seeing anything in the packet capture as well as on the controller interface implies that there could be a problem with the wired server.
