    Hello

i have a unique temporary situation that i would like to get an answer to.  Current a site my company just acquired run AP 105's on a hardware controller. the site has the dreadful flat network as well. there is an area with a dead spot and we want to put a AP 515 in that area.

The question i have is if i add this AP 515 to the flat network, will it cause any issues with the AP 105's and the hardware controller?

    Thanks in advance.

If the controller is running a suitable version you could also convert the IAP to be a campus AP.  If not and it needs to be Instant, then configure it as standalone.  It shouldn't cause too many issues.

    Hi Mr.MKP,

The Aruba AP-515 can add to the controller as Campus AP when you run atleas ArubaOS 8.4.0.0 (with some restrictions, and note 8.4.x.x is EOS). For unrestricted operation, use 8.6.0.0 or later.

Another consideration is that the AP-105 have the 802.11n standard and the AP-515 is an 802.11ax standard access points. I would not recommend to blend different Wi-Fi standards in the same area as it can run into different connectivity issues with roaming for example.
