If these were IAP models in the first place, there should not be an issue with managing them with central. There was an issue in the past that Central only accepted IAP models as the inventory database had to match specific product codes. That limitation may even have been lifted in case you convert APs for use with AOS10.

Subject: Convert controller managed IAP to Instant (factory reset)
Hi Airheads,
I'm preparing to migrate APs from a ArubaOS 8 MM/MC environment to an Aruba Instant solution.
All of the APs are either IAP or UAP SKUs - wondering what the best way to factory reset or convert these to Instant mode remotely?
Is there any reason not to use the AP convert command? I've heard APs won't be able to me managed by Aruba Central this way?
