Change switchrole from standalone to MD

    Hi,

     

    I installed a standalone Virtual Mobility Controller.

    Can I change its switch role from standalone to MD and then connect to Mobility Master?

    I think it may be cannot. Re-deploy is well.

    Any news? 

     

    We need change some Controllers from Stand Alone to MD in a MM as (new deploy no issue)...

     

    I think that we need a CLI command that after executed ask by the full setup... something like:

     

    Command:

    "(ControllerStandAlone1) (config) # controller-convert-2-MD"

     Response starting full-setup wizard:

    "************* Welcome to the Aruba7XXX setup dialog **************

    This dialog will help to set the basic......

    ....

    Enter System name [Aruba7XXX_XX_XX_XX]: 

    ...."

    Write erase all is the only way, really.

     

    You can request the feature on the innovation site, but.....that activity does not happen in production often.  If it is not in production, then "write erase all" is what you need with a reboot.
