Hi Aruba Team,
we are using IAP 325 devices to send and recieve the voice and web traffic on network...The issue we are facing is every one minutes there will be 2 or 3 packet drop is coming while piniging to my local server, whenever this issue occurs we are having screen freezing issue and drop in Voice This happens only on Wifi network.
On the lan connection it is working fine, without any problem.
For the same we have raised aruba tac support. Tac No : 5335521582
Unfortunately Engineer says he can't help on this issue since this how the wifi technology works...this is an expected behaviour....................................Below is the response form Engineer.
I believe that we need to check with that particular application team why is the connection being being dropped for 1 or 2 packet drop.What is the TTL set for the application?
I am not sure how to deal with this Problem... if anybody from Wireless team can give any solution that would be really appreciated.

What voice application is it? Is the voice application providing QOS on the voice client so that it is prioritized over the other applications on that access point?
Do you have broadcast filtering enabled so that periodic broadcasts do not disrupt your traffic?

With regrards to the Broadcast filtering yes it is enabled.
Voice application is Softphone (SIP dial in and Dial out).
There is no QOS set on the voice client over the application.
we have selected the Voice option Under the SSID primary usage.
please let me know is there any way to SET QOS at access point level.
The concern is not about the traffic priority or QOS on the application.
Can't IAP devices give the 100% network without any packet loss?
How enterprises network can be setup using IAP devices. when the devices can't ensure the packets to arrive at their destination...mutliple packet drop produce errors and it will hamper the network.
I too agree on the 1% or 2% packet loss, but Losses between 5% and 10% of the total packet stream will affect the quality significantly.
100% availability is not possible due to the shared nature of wifi. If you have devices that operate on the 2.4ghz spectrum there is quite a bit of interference, so that will affect how available the spectrum is. Users that must use the 2.4ghz band need to make sure that there is as little co-channel interference (interference produced by your own WLAN) as possible. If you have more than 3 access points, you will need to make sure that the power is low enough to avoid interference, and that would avoid drops. If the 2.4ghz band is bad enough (with non-wifi interference), there might not be anything you can do about it.
How many access points do you have? Can your clients operate on the 5ghz band?
