    Hi,

I would like to increase the power level in our aruba invironment.

    1. Does the changes take effect immediately or are there specific times when the controller deploy rf settings?

    2. Does it have impact on the whole environment regarding channel changes, coverage index etc?

    3. How long does it take for the infratructure until the whole system is balanced? We have 1000 APs.

    4. In the profile menu: Do I have to make the changes on Radio Profile level or the underlaying arm profile? In both views there are Min EIRP and Max EIRP values?

    Regards

You didn't say what version of ArubaOS you were running.  It is different between ArubaOS 8, with an MM, ArubaOS 8 without an MM, and 6.x.

ARM is not used in ArubaOS 8 with an MM.  Transmit power is controlled in the radio profiles and it is only changed at 5am by default by the Airmatch Solver.  You can run airmatch runnow commands to change the power outside of the 5am window.  Please carefully review the ArubaOS 8.x fundamental guide here:  https://community.arubanetworks.com/t5/Controller-Based-WLANs/ArubaOS-8-Fundamentals-Guide/ta-p/428914

OK this was not clear for me.

That means every configuration under the arm profile are not in use?

Because we configured other paramters like client-match and Backoff Time as well in the arm profile.

The changes were noted in the ArubaOS 8.x release notes.  Please read the release notes before upgrading so that you understand how upgrading will affect you.
