I am sure I have missed in somewhere, but looks like our controller is on PST time, I need it on EST, where do I set that in the GUI?
I am currecntly running 7.7.9
I am trying to set the timezone of the airwave server itself. The controller has correct time, only the Airwave is incorrect.
You can only do this via the commandline:
The best way to do this is from the command line. Instead of re-running the entire install wizard, you can just run the portion that sets the time:
# cd /root/svn/mercury/install
Perfect. solved my newb question in a matter of mins!
Also, it is important to make sure that the hardware clock is synchronized with the system clock:
[root@airwave mercury]# dateWed Nov 4 09:16:57 EST 2015[root@airwave mercury]# hwclockWed 04 Nov 2015 09:17:01 AM EST -0.851653 seconds[root@airwave mercury]# hwclock --systohc
Just wondering if there is a way to set timezone in newer Airwave release with CLI access being vanished.
Please open TAC ticket to change the timezone, in future release, planning to provide option to change date/time.
Terrible oversight to miss this feature.
Quick update -> timezone update is now an option in AMPCLI in 8.2.5
Under Advanced -> Set Timezone
You can use this in 126.96.36.199
To change server time, login via SSH and choose:
- option "11 Enter Commands"
- date MMDDhhmm[[CC]YY]
Set the date and time in UTC format - the century and year are optional
- quit custom comands (with 'quit')
now change your timezone:
- option "8 Advanced"
- option " 5 Set Timezone"
In the group configuration that your controller is in, you can set the timezone.
