CAP only joining one Controller in a cluster?

Out of 100 AP's 5 or 6 are not joining secondary controllers in a cluster.
AP shows second controller ip as 0.0.0.0.

All other AP's have both ip's of controllers populated.

    any ideas?

Are there any hard set IPs in the provisiong profile for the APs?
Are they in the same AP-Group as other other working APs?
Do you get any output when you run the "show config effective | i ap-name" at the controller levels?

No set ip's, AP uses DHCP
Yes AP's in same group have both controllers populated
config effective grep on select AP's return nothing

rebooting AP did not fix it.

What version of ArubaOS is this?  How many APs in the cluster?  How many and what type of controllers in the cluster?

VLAN assignment on the port? Different VLAN and or IP Network ?

I mean nothing seems super likely due to all of those 5 or 6 getting the primary controller listed...

Are the primary and secondary controllers on the same network segment? Same VLAN? Same or different switch? etc

What version of ArubaOS are you running?

How many nodes in the cluster?

On each node, SSH into it and run "show lc-cluster load distribution ap"
