Anyone know what triggers this?  I can't find any information on this software exception.  I believe it could be the cause of a random stack reboot yesterday and I'm trying to figure out why.

    switch stack: 2930m
    Firmware: WC.16.09.0003

    Thanks!

    Hi Manny,

Can you please check the boot history (show boot-history) - there should be more information regarding the SW exception and it will give you more insight regarding the reboot of the stack.
After confirming the SW exception you can take a look at the release notes for the newer versions for your device - if there are any similar already known bugs that are already fixed.

    Hi Manny,

As your currently installed SW version is a bit older, I will advice you to update it. (https://h10145.www1.hpe.com/downloads/SoftwareReleases.aspx?ProductNumber=JL319A)

There are some SW issues fixed in the newer versions and in the other branches as well (worth to mention, that not all of the known issues are listed in release notes). I have just checked the release notes of the 16.10 branch and there is the following fix:

    255760 - Symptom/Scenario: A switch crashes with the following message: Software exception at bsp_interrupts.c:90 – in 'fault_handler'

My recommendation to you will be to update the SW first. If you are facing further issues with a current version, you can use the community again, or open a case with Aruba TAC.
