    We are planning to moving our guest wireless from going from our corporate Internet to it's own broadband connection. Just looking to see if this can be done. If so what steps need to be configured. A guide would be great.

    ArubaOS = 6.5.4.20
    Controller = 7210s
    APs = 225 and 325

    Hi John,

    Doesn't sound like a big deal, unless I'm not seeing the full picture.

    You can create a vlan for guests where you put the LAN interface of the broadband router, and just layer-2 directly from the controller to it. Assign that vlan to guest users as well.

    1.  Create a VLAN for that guest network and assign that VLAN to an unused port on the controller (the wired port on your broadband will be plugged into this port later).
    2.  Configure an ip address on the controller in the range supplied by the broadband connection.  You will need this ip address to serve a captive portal to guests.
    2a.  use the "ip cp-redirect-address <ip address in section 2>" command so that your controller knows the captive portal will be served on that guest ip address.
    3.  Plug a wired connection from your broadband modem into the physical port you assigned the VLAN on the controller in step 1.
    4.  Configure a wireless network using the WLAN/LAN Wizard and assign it to the VLAN number in step 1.
