    Good afternoon. I have a 6000 controller with an M3 supervisor card I got off Ebay a while ago; I was lucky enough that it has 32 AP, 32 PEF NG and 32 RF licenses - is it possible to have these transferred to say a 7240 controller from Ebay? I have come to realize the 6000 is quite old and would like to eventually move to something newer.

    Hi Chris,

    The are two kind licences;
    1. device integrated licences
    2. normal licences

    Device integrated licences can not be migrated to another hardware.

    Normal licence can only migrate to a new hardware when you own the licences in the Aruba ASP Portal. Because you buy the controller on Ebay you probaly can't transfer the licences. Therefor you had to do a owner ship migration to your own ASP portal first. You have to contact the first owner to make that possible.
