    Hi All,

I have an Aruba 3810M JL072A, but it is not working with the Aruba SFP (JL9152D) eventhou it clearly states that it supports it on the documentation.

    So can anyone elese clarify.

    Thanks in advance

Hello, an original/genuine Aruba 10G SFP+ LC LRM 220m MMF XCVR (J9152D) transceiver is supported on Aruba 3810M Switch series provided that your Switch JL072A is equipped with SFP+ ports, through the additional Aruba 3810M 4SFP+ Module (JL083A).

Can you provide us the sanitized outputs of these CLI commands? show modules, show version and show tech transceivers.

Is the SFP+ transceiver you're testing genuine (HPE Aruba)?

    Hi,

please see the attached files showing the command outputs.

and Yes, the products are genuine and are purchased from HP.

Is there anything that i am missing?, any commands i should run to make them work?.

    again, thanks in advance.

Apparently the Aruba 3810M side looks good enough (the LRM SFP+ Transceiver installed on interface A2 is correctly recognized), what is the peer at the other side? can you describe the involved fiber optic cabling, end to end?

What is the output of the "show interfaces transceiver A2 detail" CLI command on the Aruba 3810M?

The Other side is a core switch, which is Arista. It is currently working with other switches.

The problem is i am not seeing the red light from the Aruba Switch on the Transceiver, which made me think that it wasn't recognized.

On the contrary, some screenshots above report it as recognized. The point is the Rx Power level at Zero. So the current J9152D is not receiving signals (indeed you see some Rx related alarms).

    I ask you again:

what is the peer at the other side? <- it means that you should describe the peer's SFP+ Transceiver used to close the link.

can you describe the involved fiber optic cabling, end to end? <- it means that you should state what is the link used, technically speaking.

The J9152D is a LRM so it has specific requirements, see here so is the other end compatible with those requirements?

0RX power suggests that your eihter have broken fiber, the optic on the far end isn't up, the optic on the far end has failed, or (by far the most likely) that your polarity is wrong.  What are the light levels at the far end switch?  If you see the same state there with TX power and no RX power, you probably need to roll one of the patch cords.
