Does anyone know the difference between the X120 and the X121 transceivers?

We have a 1920-48G (JG927A) and page 23 of the manual - http://www8.hp.com/h20195/v2/GetDocument.aspx?docname=c04394247 - lists both the X120 (JD118B) and the X121 (J4858C) as being compatible transceivers (both are 1 gig LC SX).

Pages 25 and 27 of the manual include more details about the transceivers, but I'm still not clear on what the functional difference is between the two.

    Thanks

I don't think there is one.

The J4858C was the 1Gb SFP in use for years with Procurve switches. The other one appeared a few years ago, presumably as a result of HPs unfortunate foray into 3COM-land.
