I have two 2930F setup with vsf and a 10gb dac cable.

VSF was working for years until today member 2 was "missing".

Rebooted 2nd switch same issue.

Erased switch and re enabled vsf , same issue.

I did notice during startup it gets stuck at "initializing " for a good 15-20mins. 
It will boot normal without that DAC cable for vsx plugged in.

The link on both ends of vsx port are green. It creates its own stack and does not join the main stack.

Getting nowhere with support.


Any ideas?

Hi, an idea would be that DAC cable (since it is used for VSF Link...isn't it?) has an issue or ports connected through that DAC have an issue...but without any other detail (show ...) is quite difficult to help you troubleshooting a similar behavior: for sure you have a fragmented VSF stack and this would mean that the VSF Link(s) between your two VSF Members is not operating normally as one expects.
