    Hello,

    I have some issue on my HP 5406ZL  , i have plugged the module 10Gbe SFP+ (J9538A) to connect DAC SFP 10GBE cable (brand DELL)  to another switch and the led color is orange.

    On the port config, i don't see the mode "10GBE" only 1Gbe. I don't know why , i guess to update the firmware to fix the issue, but before to do this , i would like to know if the issue is because i've the old firmware or the issue is elsewhere.

    Hello, 

    The DAC is not working because it is DELL branded. This switch is only allowing HPE Aruba branded transceivers and DACs. Parts of other vendors are blocked and will not work at all. You can confirm this by issuing the command show tech transceiver.

    You can find a list of supported DACs and transceivers in this document, section Accessories page 43.

    An update will not help here! The only option is to use a supported transceiver from the list.
