Thanks! So this isn't all that clear in the window - is the maximum a total of 255 *potential* addresses or *actual* addresses?
I ask because let's say I have the two VLANs, both are 255.255.255.0, but even if I try to exclude the ranges to make 255 total, it still fails. Sounds like I need two subnets to *equal* 255, for example:
Employee_DHCP: 255.255.255.224 (30 potential hosts) - 10.1.100.1 to 10.1.100.30 (30 actual hosts)
Guest_DHCP: 255.255.255.128 (126 potential hosts) - 10.1.200.1 to 10.1.200.126 (126 actual hosts)
OR (what I wanted to do):
Employee_DCHP: 255.255.255.0 (255 potential hosts) - excluding 10.1.100.51 to 10.1.100.254 (50 actual hosts)
Guest_DHCP: 255.255.255.0 (255 potential hosts) - excluding 10.1.200.201 to 10.1.200.254 (200 actual hosts)
Thanks all!
