802.11 R,K,V possible on AP-375 with controller ?

    Hi.

    I don't find anywhere the information if the AP-375 support 802.11 R,K,V protocols. This options can be enabled from controller ?

    I would assume it does...

     

    802.11r = Fast Roaming

    802.11k = Steering Clients to another AP (Client Match)

    802.11v = Prevent Sticky Clients (Client Match)

    In Europe exist a program called "Wifi4Eu". Some municipalities have a voucher to start or extend a wifi network.

    I want to make this project for a municipality but are some minimum requirements that need to meet.

     

    The municipality shall ensure that each Access Point:

    • Supports concurrent dual-band (2,4Ghz – 5Ghz) use
    • Has a support cycle superior to 5 years
    • Has a mean time between failure (MTBF) of at least 5 years
    • Has a dedicated and centralised single point of management for all APs of each WiFi4EU network
    • Supports IEEE 802.1x
    • Complies with IEEE 802.11ac Wave I
    • Supports IEEE 802.11r
    • Supports IEEE 802.11k
    • Supports IEEE 802.11v
    •  Is able to handle at least 50 concurrent users without performance degradation
    • Has at least 2x2 multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO)
    • Complies with Hotspot 2.0 (Passpoint Wi-Fi Alliance certification program).

    I thought about using the AP-375 RW access points and Aruba 7205 RW controller. The problem is that I can find nowhere if the access points support these protocols.

    •  Is able to handle at least 50 concurrent users without performance degradation - Wifi is shared, so the more users added, there will be degradation.  No wifi manufacturer is immune to this.  I would explain that to them.

    I would work with your local Aruba Sales team on these RFP-type questions.
