    Dear Experts,

Customer has Mobility Conductor and four 9004 controllers to connect 115 RAPs. Can someone guide what is the best possible way to achieve this? i have 2 in mind so please advise on them also

    1) if we make the cluster of four controllers, how will the APs choose and connect the controllers? will mobility conductor achieve it automatically sensing that one controller has all 32 APs filled up so new APs will connect to second controller and so on? AFAIK this is not possible even through Mobility conductor but need your advise

    2) Manually group RAP to different AP groups and assign them to specific controllers? possible?

    3) Any other recommendation?

If you configure as a cluster then the RAPs will be load balanced across the cluster, same as CAPs.  Since the 9004 is limited to 32 APs, that means a cluster of four 9004 controllers is only going to handle 64 RAPs when running as a cluster.

The only way to handle 115 RAPs is to run each controller completely separately, with no more than 32 RAPs assigned to each controller.

Another option would be to use AOS 10 and Microbranch deployments instead.
