I have an Aruba3200 with 32 AP-93 APs. I am trying to activate the 802.11n radio on the controller but do not see it as an option anywhere. Under the RF Management the only options I have are 802.11a and 802.11g radio profiles, nothing regarding 802.11n. How do I go about activating 802.11n?

It should work by default. Why do you think it is not working? 802.11n is also dependent on your encryption. Only Open and AES are supported for 802.11n.
Thanks for the replies. The reason I know it's not working is that I have a whole building full of wireless N devices, but when i go under clients, they are all connected as 802.11g-HT. Shouldn't they show up as 802.11n?

"HT" is shorthand for 802.11n g-HT is 802.11n on the g or 2.4ghz band. It means "High Throughput".
Please disregard my last post... to early and not enough coffee!!!
The AP-92 features a single 2×2 MIMO dual-band 2.4-GHz/5-GHz radio with external antennas while the AP-93 features the same radio with internal antennas. Both APs are built to provide years of trouble-free operation and are backed by a limited lifetime warranty.
Software-configurable single radio capable of supporting 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz
802.11n capable, implementing 2x2 MIMO with two spatial streams, providing up to 300 Mbps data rate
I have a similar issue.
Wi-Fi clients' PHY are
a
aHT
aHT 40Mhz
g
gHT
gHT40Mhz
b
I dont't see 'HT' .
I don't get 600Mbps speeds.
I am using AP105s with 3600.
AP105s have a top associated rate of 300
To have a client run at "N" speeds, they must be associated using either NO encryption or AES encryption.
Can you clarify this is the same for the AP93's? We have just deployed but are only seeing a connection rate of 54mbps. Now this is because the uplinks to the switches are 100mb currently but we will be changing this to 1gb soon so we hope to see an improvement. However what you have stated re: no encryption is a concern? Can you clarify?
thanks
This leads me to believe that you are running a single radio AP, that is capable of being in EITHER 2.4 or 5GHz, in 2.4 GHz, and you will need to get that moved over to 5GHz
Perfect, thank you! Is there typically any backwards compatibility issues for 11g devices when upgrading to 5GHz?
I'm not clear what you mean here. If you're device is only 2.4 GHz capable it won't see a 5 GHz signal at all. This will include your phones, some tablets, older laptops, game consoles, etc. Can you clarify what you're asking here?

Basically, my APs are single radio. So if i change them all from 2GHz to 5GHz does this mean that my wireless G devices will not be able to connect?
Yes, that's correct. You might want to check out the 802.11n VRD we published, http://www.arubanetworks.com/vrd.
Thanks everyone for your replies!
You can also enable/disable support for HT or High Throughput...but this is also on by default.
