    Quick question here...

    Need to upgrade airwave 8.2.15.2 to 8.3.0.1. I understand that due to the move to RHEL8, basically we need to do a fresh install and restore from backup.

    My question is, does the restore from backup bring back network details? That is, when I set up a new VM, I give it a temporary IP address to minimize outage. I would then proceed to restore from backup. Would this also restore the original network information or would I have to change this after restoring (and of course disabling the current VM).

    I just did this November 2023. For me it did not bring the IP from the backup over. Installing the fresh gives you 90 day temp license. I had to do a backup, install the fresh VM, import the backup via Putty, and change the IP to the one it was supposed to be.
