    Posted 2 days ago

Not sure if this is somehow just me or if anyone else has 10.4.1.2 running and seeing this.  I did not have this issue when running 10.4.1.1 but not sure if it is just the firmware or Aruba Central that is causing this.

For the last couple weeks (10.4.1.1 -> 10.4.1.2) we have had reports of wireless issues.  I found that our APs were selecting invalid channels on the 6Ghz range.  This was causing very poor TX to clients and very high retries/errors.

I have manually set the channels for the 6Ghz on all of our APs and that has resolved our issue.

    Our setup:
    AP655 - 10.4.1.2
    Mobility GW(Controllers) - 9240 x2 - 10.4.1.2
    Switches are cx6300/8325/4100i - 3 tier network

    Here is some details/logs:
AP is using channel 85S and has >90% retry rate

    The valid channels for 6Ghz 160Mhz are 5S, 37S, 69S, 101S, 133S, 165S, 197S - 85S is not a valid channel.

Logs from a different AP but having the same issue.  This AP was using channel 21S which is invalid:

The last log I posted is why I think this might be related to Aruba Central and maybe not the firmware upgrade.

    AM: provision from central
    pri_chan:21
    band:3
    chan_bw:4

I do not have any documentation on this so this is just an assumption but this is what I think the above means:
    Primary Channel - 21
    Wireless Band - 3 (6Ghz) - I assume 1=2.4Ghz and 2=5Ghz
    Channel Bandwidth - 4 (160Mhz) - I assume 1=20Mhz, 2=40Mhz, 3=80Mhz and 4=160Mhz

If we put all of the above together we get 6Ghz 21S and that is not a valid channel.

Also - I am not going to open a ticket with TAC - I am frustrated enough and have wasted tons of time troubleshooting this.  I am behind on work and do not have the time or emotional energy to deal with Aruba TAC.
