  • 1.  ap-615 with 7205 controller wlan ssid 6 ghz not available

    Hello everyone,

I have a 7205 controller in fw 8.1101 with ap-615. wlan ap group and ssid are activated 6 ghz, but the led on the ap 615 isn´t turn on n and a registration with ax laptop logs in wlan ssid with  5 ghz deployment.

someone had an idea? Thanks

    A 6ghz SSID requires either WPA3 or OWE to broadcast.

    You must set Flex Dual Band Mode: to include 6Ghz, unless you want AM to deside, 

    but then you need at least 3 ap-615, within a client coverage.

    there are some guidlines you have to follow by using 6GHz Band:

    • 6GHz only supports WPA3 (no transition or opmode mode!)
    • use the most recent DRT file
    • you have to have another SSID configured on 2.4 and/or 5GHz for the Reduced Neighboring Report
    • you have to set the country code

    Have you got the output of 'show ap bss-table' ? This will confirm if the AP is broadcasting or not. Also, what is the country code of the AP and Controller?
