  • 1.  AP303H - Passthrough port and cable

    Posted Sep 25, 2023 08:45 AM

    Dear Experts,

We deployed couple of 303H APs on a customer site. Customer wants to use Eth0 at the bottom instead of the one at back. We tried to passthrough it using straight cable by connecting Eth0 and PT port at the back but the Eth0 bottom port didnt become active. Are we doing something wrong? port configuration of passthrough cable is different than straight cable?

The pass-thru does not require a special cable, the PT port on the back is just a straight connection through to the PT port on the bottom, allowing for a connection from the bottom through to the E0 port on the back.

You might attach a picture of the installation, might be able to see the issue.  You can order a 10 pack of short Ethernet cables that are meant for this purpose, but there is nothing special about these other than them being the correct length.

Not seeing anything attached if that's what you attempted.
