Hello,
I have an AP303H AP connected by POE cisco switch,
I need to use the E3 Port to supply an IP Phone, but it's not working,
Does it need any configuration on the AP or controller?
How can I fix it ?
Thank you
You need to configure a wired port profile for the port in question.
VC -> More -> Wired
Can you tell me how can I configure it , from which portal ? controller or AP ?
a step by step guide would be appreciated
Thank u
I need to configure it from the controller side, since it is an Campus access point and I couldn't access it.
Hi
Which version of software? 6.x or 8.x?
Which deployment? MM + MD or just MC's?
Hi,
I have a standalone Controller with AOS 8.3.0.4 .
Click on Configuration. Click on your login name in the upper right hand corner, click on Preferences and make sure that "show advanced profiles" is enabled.
Under configuration click on Ap-Groups and select your ap-group. Click on "Profiles" all the way to your right and then in the middle expand AP> Ethernet interface 1 port configuration > Ethernet interface link. In the right pane, make sure Power over Ethernet is checked:
You Guru Elite guys..... Just was booting up my test VMC in my hotelroom to make a screenshot.... too late.
But the more important thing: there is a answer/solution posted!
Maybe it is better to create a new profile for this one.
If not then all PoE ports will be PoE enabled if the default profile is applied, with it is by default.
I tried the above and still not working.
Please note that i am using a Cisco POE switch 802.3af .
That's right. If you power the 303H with an 802.3af POE source, it will not provide POE power on E3. That's pretty clear in the datasheet.
Also, even when using an 802.3at POE source or a DC power adapter, POE is off by default, and needs to be enabled in SW.
