    Hi,

I forgot a login password of Aruba 7005.

So I can't log in from broswer even though I only know the ip address and iopen log in window.

Can you advice how can I rest the pssword?

There is no reset button on the AP.

Do I need to log in from console and reset password>?

I don't have a console adaptor. Is it same as Cisco one?

    Regards

    SImon

You can use a mini-USB cable for console access. To connect it to your computer and allow it to show up as a com port, You will need to download the driver mentioned in the installation guide here: https://support.arubanetworks.com/Documentation/tabid/77/DMXModule/512/Command/Core_Download/Default.aspx?EntryId=14426

When you connect the cable and it shows up as a com port on your computer use putty or any other terminal program to select it.

You will then need to execute the password restore procedure here: http://community.arubanetworks.com/t5/Mobility-Hero-Tutorials/Aruba-Controller-Password-Reset-Jan-2014/ta-p/143373
