    Hi,

I am about to deploy two CX10000 in two DataCenters.

What is the preferable, clustering mode ?
(Direct connected by local/private fiber 100 meters)
    (with two 100Gb)

I prefer VSF, over VXLAN ?, or others ?

Thoughts on this ?, pls anyone !

    News!, sorry

    no VSF in CX10000 !

    [Only 6200 & 6300 in AOS-CX)

I would do VSX switches in DC1, VSX switches in DC2.

    Use VSX LAG between DCs.

Page 106 of this guide has sample configs

Thank you, can you elaborate why, pls

Meaning, why VSX over VSF ?

    Hi, when you write:

"I am about to deploy two CX10000 in two DataCenters."

Are you meaning to deploy one Aruba CX 10000 switch (SW1) in one DC (DC1) and the other one Aruba CX 10000 switch (SW2) in the other DC (DC2)...isn't it?

    I misunderstood then, I thought you meant 2 in DC1, 2  in DC2.

Since it's 100m apart, you can VSX both CX 10000 and enable VSX LAG to devices which need to be multi-homed to both CX 10000s for High Availability.

Hi, best friends and thanks you for all swift responses.

My purpose of this post was to get an engaged discussions into the topic of "best" solution/practice.

I have been working with both scenarios for years, and have my own thoughts about
whether to prefer the one about the other..

I have one or two distinct preference due to the fact with VSF there is one control plane,
    and one config,
as to VSX, there is two, you will retain both control plane but certain config must be done twice, and so on.

Please feel free to express your own preferences.

But there is a new factor in the picture, with the new AMD Pensando functionality !

Will this affect in any way on the selected clustering modes ??

Due to the fact there is only VSX in the equation,

will it have any impact on the Pensando functionality ?

    and utilizing VSX Lag ?
