    Hi there,

     

    We have six access points that always seem to have high utilization (some APs sit at 89% with only 12 connected clients), we are in a large building with a number of interfering neighboring APs.

     

    We experience low download speeds across the WiFi (around 75% lower than ethernet connectivity), and I was wondering if it's because of the interference or maybe a few settings can be changed on the controller? 

     

    I can divulge various AP controller settings if needed.

    So is the high utilization with the IAP 215?

    Just to get a clearer idea,

    Are the six APs configured as APs or Instant Access Points?

    If APs(usually managed by a Mobility controller) which controller are you using and what is the image version?

    If IAPs what Instant OS version are you using?

    Are all the six devices facing the same issue or is it just one?

    Thought it might be useful to chuck the configuration down to see if anything stands out as a 'no no'.

    All APs face the same issue, throughout the day they hit 85%+ utilisation across both 2.5 and 5. 

     

    We have 200 devices across these APs :)

    I see 80 MHz support is enabled and the airtime fairness mode is fair access.

    This usually means bandwidth is shared equally between all users irrespective of the requests they make or the order in which the requests are made.

    Is the 80MHz support necessary for your network and users?

    If it's not absolutely necessary, try disabling it during downtime if it's a production network.
