    Hello Team,

We have Aruba wireless mesh network managed by Wireless controller and Mobility conductor. AP Ex 585 models been used in Mesh Portal and Mesh Point mode are forming the mesh and pushing the data to Layer 3.

The question is For Mesh Point AP can we used both it's port E0 and PSE for connecting the devices and data transfer. Prohibited the connected devices will have external Power supply.

Eg:- PSE port connecting to the PSE device. and EO port connected to another I/O device which is either powered by battery or external Power. Mesh Point AP will have external power supply

    Thanks & Regards

Are you asking if the AP can be a PSE on one of the ports? Take a look at the AP-580 series datasheet. You can supply 802.3af on E2, or if the AP is in a location where it can stay cool (temp) you may be able to support 802.3at.

The AP-580 can provide up to 802.3at when powered by AC and 802.3af when the AP itself is power with a Class 6 802.3bt.
