No, I never figured it out. I did make the vlan I need a "voice' vlan which I am hoping does the same thing. I have read some different school of thoughts on if QoS is even needed in todays fast networks, but with it already in place I like to keep things consistent. So for now, I haven't done any QoS explicitly.

I have the same question. Did you figure it out?

Subject: ArubaOS-S to CX VLAN QoS incompatible QoS?
Hi all,
We are slowly migrating to CX but have over 70 zl 5412 v3s in our environment and we are trying to have consistent QoS tagging. We bought some 4100 CXs but the QoS commands seem to be lacking the ability to use 802.1Q Vlans as an identifier to apply CoS. Seems to be port based ? Example:
Applying a QoS on vlan 101 on an OS-S: vlan 101 qos priority 5
Applying a QoS on vlan 101 on CX: Create a QoS map, create a QoS profile, Apply to ports on switch?
This is so far only for voice traffic, if that makes it easier. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
