Best application AP 105 or 115

    Hi,

     

    I need help choosing between the 105 and 115 for a house with fat concrete walls where the AP will be wall mounted. 

     

    If there another AP better suited for my application please let me know.

    Hi,

    Both APs are design with built-in antennas that are optimized for horizontal ceiling mounting orientation. I would suggest you consider mounting the AP horizontally or go with AP114 with external omni directional antenna.

    - AP110 series is 3x3:3 which means you can get up to 450Mbps.

    - AP 105 is 2x2:2 which means you can get up to 300Mbps.

    If you ask me I would go with AP110 series.

    One more question, what if the connection is 150Mbps. Does the 110 have any advantages over the 105 other than the speed?

    It depends on the client device. Do you know which client are you trying to connect? Is it an smart device or a laptop which model of NIC card does it have.

    As AP-110 has 3 spatial stream it will definitely provide more throughput. It's like having 3 lanes on the highway compare to two lanes.
