    Have a customer that can't use an off prem cloud based solution so Meridian is out.

     

    Does anyone know if/how our beacons, tags, and sensors can be used with a third party vendor? We are currently passing through other vendor tag chirps to other vendors on premise servers, but would like to know if we can leverage Aruba hardware for this.

    Aruba Tags can only be tracked with Aruba WLAN infrastructure.

     

    You are correct that asset tags from 3rd party partners (such as STANLEY) can also be tracked with Aruba WLAN (Access Points).

    To clarify: ArubaOS 8.x will be able to support listening 3rd party BLE tags in the upcoming months. Technically possible, but ArubaOS support is not yet available. Until then, Aruba Tags is the only option against the Aruba WLAN deployed for location services.

    Hi can I carify that when using Aruba BLE or a third-party tag that to perform location tracking via Meridian: is it necessary to have a campus controller based soution or can Aruba Instant APs be utilsed, is there a general sizing guide for example showing the number of asset tags per controller model that is recommended?

    Beacons are supported in both controller and IAP based solution. IAP 320 model with code 4.3.0 and above have inbuilt beacon support.

     

    Number of beacons varies based on enviorment, generally for best blue dot experinece distance between sucessive beacons is <=40fts

    Hi, to manage aruba beacon whether it's on IAP or bluetooth beacon; is it necessary to use meridian iOS "Beacon" software or it is can be managed using other software.

    Second, for the management server, is it only can be pair with Meridian server ?

    Beacons management guide provide more details, YES Aruba Beacons are managed through meridian cloud only.

    Hi,

    1.Does "Aruba AP 315 "  has support to read third party beacon(We have our own BLE beacons devices.) ?
    2. Does "Aruba AP 315 " has option to change BLE beacon data end point( point to our RTLS platform )?

    As our customer has  already installed ""Aruba AP 315 ", so planning Leverage Aruba HW as BLE observer to read our beacon tags and send beacon data to  our RTLS cloud platform.

    I have a related issue. My site has deployed asset tracking tags provided by "Stanley". The tags use our Aruba/HPE system but MAC's are not visable via client search on the local controller or AirWave. Does anyone know of a way to locate the Tags? We have some that have gone missing.
