    Hello, fist post

    I need to know if it's possible to re-upload a boot.ini file and if it's possible to obtain one. I was attempting to erase the config file and during the process the boot.ini file got corrupted. I tried to download a new image to the switch and it shows it to be successful, but upon reboot I get the message the boot.ini file is corrupted. Also I noticed that the image the switch shows is for a 2530-48G POE+ (J9772A) although the switch I have is a (J9776A) 2530-24G non POE switch. Below is what I get when downloading the new image

    Also when performing a boot command I get:

    Error, /cfa0/boot.ini corrupted; please reboot to console and repair.
    Could not open Image file


    Bad code in FLASH




    Flash memory needs reprogramming or chassis could be faulty.
    Use a PC as the console and perform the update procedure
    by serial Xmodem download of the current Switch Image.
    If unsuccessful w/ downloading, then try replacing chassis.

    ROM Build Directory: /ws/swbuildm/rel_lakesrom_qaoff/rom/build/lakesrom(swbuildm_rel_lakesrom_qaoff_rel_lakesrom)
    ROM Version: YA.15.20
    ROM Build Date: 22:15:54 Aug 20 2017
    ROM Build Number: 10016

    I could not locate the YA.15.20 image so I got the closet's one I could find. Any help would be appreciated. I have not contacted support yet for this issue.

    Hello, 

    You can try to delete the corrupted boot.ini and boot the switch.

    =>rm cfa0/boot.ini
    =>boot

    The switch will create automatically a new boot.ini file when it is booted.
    If it doesn't help then it is better to contact the support.
